Today I am doing an interview with the wonderful pagan YouTuber Scarlet Ravenswood and the Wiccan YouTuber Ella Harrison. They both will be sharing more about their specific paths and witchcraft practices. I will be talking from my point of view as an agnostic secular witch. In general, this video can more be treated as a witchy podcast – I apologize for the wonky audio and video at times (I just really really really suck at tech xD).

  2. Do you have any recommendations on learning about Bavarian folk traditions/lore/witchcraft. I did a dna analysis a while back and a lot of my DNA was matched to Bavaria!

    1. @Cassie Contino I shall definitely see that I find some more info in English then! It is very educating and enriching to connect with your roots and ancestor. And also thaaaaaank you – I am so glad you enjoy my vlogs! I will film one this weekend πŸ™‚

    1. I am glad you enjotyed it! And thank you for sharing more about how you practice too πŸ’šπŸ˜Š

  4. This is such a wonderful video! Thanks so much, Becks πŸ™‚ I’m writing this comment for Ella mostly, because I grew up in Northern Hemisphere (Lithuania) and now I live in Southern Hemisphere (South Africa) for more than 15 years. Till now I haven’t figured out the big celebrations as yet…so I just go with the flow (I’ve tried the opposite way, but it didn’t stick with me)…Christmas doesn’t feel like Christmas, just the spirit of it is similar. What I found really helped me was starting my garden the way I thought seasons should be directly translated in an opposite way, and then learning little nuances of differences, for example – cucumber should be a summer vegetable, but here it grows better in autumn, early winter. I found plants helped me to understand the transition between the seasons. From personal experience, it’s also a little sad when most of the world is celebrating Christmas with cold weather and snow and my Christmas is mostly 35C+ next to a swimming pool. Also, what helped me to adjust to the energy of Southern Hemisphere was learning that the Moon looks completely opposite, ie – the New Moon is light on the left-hand side and not the right. When I learned that, everything about opposite poles started to make sense. I really would like to hear more views and opinions on Northern vs Southern Hemisphere and how people adjust. On the other note – I just love your videos and wait for each and everyone to come out πŸ™‚

    1. Thank You for this comment! I love the idea of having a garden that helps to get adjusted 🀍 I am definitely looking forward to all the changes

    2. @Simona Van Der Sandt celtic, norse and germanic are super intertwined with traditions, beliefs and gods. Of course they also all have their very own things but in essence they are very similar πŸ™‚

    3. @The witches’ cookery πŸ§™I’ve visited Bavaria once (Zalsburg surrounds), but I find it so fascinating to hear it from you how witchy Bavaria is…never before I’ve thought Norse is so close to Germanic

    4. @Simona Van Der Sandt I find it so beautiful that all the old knowledge and wisdom is still so ingrained in the people of the Baltics 😍

  5. Ohh I love this sooo much fun I like to buy a quart of heavy cream when I’m having a bad day and when I get home I open it to let air in than close it and shake all my frustrations away and before I know it ten minutes later I’m doing a little jig while I’m making butter out of it and feeling better and than putting my happier lighter mood into my butter and when I’m done it seems butter or if I just need to make whipped cream I gently cut the top off the cardboard carton take out whatever I made and wash the cardboard carton and than I pour some beeswax or soy wax or both maybe recycle some old wax and make a candle. I learned when I was a child to fill up a cardboard carton like this add wick and wax and than tare off the cardboard when it’s dry and the candle comes out with really cool holes in it. I messed up you fill the carton with ice and than pour the wax over it and when the ice melts it leaves a really cool pattern in the candle. Ok I’m very home based I’m definitely not into anything complicated I don’t even care about casting circles I’m kind of like well I’m doing this whatever thing right now I wonder what intention I can think of.

    1. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’– This is such an amazing bit of ‘kitchen witchery’ – absolutely love this idea! I want to make happy butter too hahaha I will have to have a little think about this and come up with my own version for this beautiful ritual to let go of anger and frustration – thank you so much for sharing this. I never heard of anyone doing this. And I think our practices might be very much alike – I never did cast a circle in my life and the more practical the spell the better. Mostly I just do things with intention too πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful day
