RUQYA PROGRAM FOR EVIL EYE (AYN) Narrated from Aishah (RAA), that she said the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to tell me to seek ruqya for the evil eye. (Bukhari and Muslim) Narrated from Abdullah ibn Abbas (RAA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The evil eye is real and if anything were to overtake the divine decree, it would have been the evil eye. When you are asked to take a bath (as a cure) from the influence of the evil eye, you should take a bath.” (Muslim, Ahmad, Tirmidhi) 1. The Sunnah method is to wash yourself from the water of the wudho of the person who gave you ayn (if the identity of the person is known). If you don’t know who gave the ayn or their water is not available, then wash yourself with Ruqya water that is recited on as many times a day as possible (3-4 times is good) 2. Recite Surat Al-Baqarah once daily (twice or three times a day if possible). For those of us that struggle with the recitation itself or with difficulty completing the recitation during one session, it is advised to listen to an audio recitation and put your finger on the words of the Mushaf as you follow the recitation 3. Recite Ayat ul Kursi, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas throughout the day (even while doing chores, shopping etc) 4. Recite the verses of Ayn. If you were reading and/or memorizing Qur’an before you were afflicted, then continue to do as before you were afflicted and memorize the same amount with the intention of Ruqya 5. If the Ayn is related to education, then in addition to the above listen to the Knowledge (ilm) audio which can be found on our site. A sign of this type of affliction is that you don’t want to pick up the books 7. Daily words of remembrance for the morning and evening (Adhkar).
