    1. If you haven’t already, I suggest having your neck assessed to see whether it is contributing to your condition. It’s also a good idea to have an MRI done to check that there isn’t anything more sinister happening.

  2. Hi Doctor. I was rushed to the ER 3 weeks ago because I felt dizzy and fatigue. I told the doctors there that I had this very bad head pressure for 2 weeks already from my forehead running to the side especially the right side of my head and whenever I start moving my head I get dizzy. Then it became worst as I can’t walk because I get dizzy. The doctor told me I might have bppv and referred me to a vestibular therapist. She interviewed me 2weeks ago and had some initial test done. She still cant rule out bppv, I dont have vertigo but I have trouble focusing on things and I get dizzy just by standing and walking or simply look left and right. It’s been like this for 1 and half months now.

    1. @hxhxhx x i dont know what i have, i still didnt get any appointment from the specialist but im trying to help myself by exercising everyday. its been 8months for me. i still have some here and there. but i try to ignore it. my bestfriends are exercise, centrum and magnesium. thats it. and tynenol for headache and eye strain 😂

    2. @sadclown madclown hey did you found out what you have i have exactly the same issues that you have please respond im scared its been 7 weeks

    3. @sadclown madclown Hopefully the ENT will help to clarify whether BPPV is contributing to your condition. I would suspect it isn’t, but that is without having assessed you personally. It sounds like you are suffering from a condition associated with your cervical spine. I recommend having that assessed by someone that is trained to assess the brainstem via the cervical spine. This may give you the answers you’re searching for!

    4. Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic yeah but im still suffering from imbalance, dizziness like everything is distorted in my vision, oscillopsia, have trouble walking or standing, light sensitivity on phones and tv screens, grocery stores. then i have tinnitus. i just dont know what this condition is, about 4months now. i never had spinning vertigo but all those things only. ive been seen by 3docs and 1 physio they cant rule out whats wrong with me, said j have bppv another said i dont. im waiting for an ent appointment.

    5. @sadclown madclown It’s good to see that you have covered most of your bases. Thankfully that rules out a lot of more dangerous conditions.

  3. Can vestibular migraines also cause sensation of chronic fullness in ears and nose along with chronic pressure behind eyes? Also, I’ve had a lot of issues with proprioception in lower left leg since this started….bottom of left foot feels “spongy” when i’m walking. Can those symptoms also be related to vestibular migraines? I’ve been suffering 3.5 years and haven’t been able to make any improvements.

    1. Rick, with the sponge foot does it feel like your foot is unevenly balanced or the weight Isn’t being distributed properly?

    2. It is definitely possible. Migraines can cause all kinds of different symptoms, which are often hard to understand. If you haven’t already, I would suggest first consulting an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist) to check whether or not there is something else occurring there. If you’ve already headed down that path, your next step should be to have your neck assessed.

  4. Anyone that experiences this

Do you ever notice you have dizziness, no headaches, but also have inability to catch breath?
When i get a bad episode and i go for a walk or any physical activity…or even have mental stress…
Ill have a hard time breathing and feel like im gasping for air. Its such an odd thing because my body generally feels strong rather than exhausted and weak…
The difficulty breathing normally comes and goes

I can no longer keep up with my past level of physical activity as ill wake up one day with crazy dizziness that is unbearable…
But have been able to find that line to which point i make sure not to cross. This way i mitigate symptoms while still being somewhat active

Also after watching this i just remembered a somewhat minor sports injury where i fell face first to the ground.
I did not really notice any pain at first but after a day i had a lot of tightness, little pain in my neck
Ever since then my neck constantly pops and gets very tight and tense throughout the day…

Could this be related to my symptoms?

    1. My daughter had Ehler Danlos syndrome and Dysautonomia/POTS, Mast Cell Syndrome.
‘Vocal cord dysfunction’ is a symptom. It may be what your experiencing.
Eosinophilic esophagitis can be another issue

    2. Kathleen O’neill

I recently saw a few videos on prolotherapy and the results people get when having similar symptoms…
The doctors mentioned “neck instability” being a big concern…
which led me to be fairly convinced my symptoms are a result of previous minor injuries from sports…causing neck instability
Ive found certain upper body exercises really exacerbate symptoms…so i avoid as much as possible

But ive been using a shotgun approach of…
      – weekly hot stone neck self-massages (i make sure to really knead out a lot of the tension i have built up)
      – almost daily naps help
      – vitamin D / magnesium / cod liver oil
      – light dumbbell shrugs to get good blow flow in my upperback and neck muscles

    3. I have the very same feelings of dizziness and breathlessness when a spell comes on. I feel as though I might faint. I used to enjoy long walks and now I’m afraid to walk around the block. How are you doing? Have you noticed anything that helps?

    4. @Angelina Léger Oh yeah head exercises work for a lot of vertigo cases. It’s how a lot of physical therapists treat dizziness.

    5. This dizziness vertigo remedy https://t.co/xFfs9TYvka has been a great help in my situation. Once I have my vertigo, I would really feel dizzy and also have exhausting episodes. This will make me nervous whenever I am driving my car or truck. In just 4 months, I have employed the guideline 2 times per day without fail and the effects are amazing. I haven’t suffered queasiness or dizziness.

    1. Aura migraines are part of this…check out Alicia Wolf (wrote The DIzzy Cook) talking to Dr Beh from Dallas who is a VM specialist and wrote a book if you want after hearing him, on Amazon…I have VM….without the headache and on occasion get auras too…their info might be your answer…and NO MEDS…you don’t need medication for this…physical therapy probably!

  5. If the cervical vertebra are often the cause, is the solution a realignment? Or correcting an imbalance thats pulling them out of line? Thanks for the video, I hadnt heard cervical could be the culprit before.

    1. @CSK Creative It is best to attend the clinic for a cervical spine assessment. Our clinic however does offer telehealth/ video consultation which can give further information about your symptoms and potential strategies on how to move forwards at managing vestibular migraines. If you would like further information about the telehealth/video consultation feel free to contact us on info@brisbanemigraine.com.au

    2. @Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was diagnosed with vestibular migraines by Dr. Atkins in Orlando and I have symptoms that I manage as well as I can without medication. What is the process of getting a cervical spine assessment? Could I do this remotely through Brisbane Headache and Migraine Clinic?

    3. Hi there, in essence if there is an issue to the cervical spine, and if a mal-alignment has been determined to be the cause of your vestibular migraines, then this could and will ultimately result in a sensitised brainstem. If that is the case treating the cervical spine to de-sensitise the brainstem is an effective way at managing and treating vestibular migraines. Do you suffer from vestibular symptoms? Have you also had your cervical spine assessed to determine whether it is resulting in your vestibular symptoms?

  6. A neurologist I went to told me if I didn’t have headaches I didn’t have Vestibular Migraines…

    1. @Lucas Cervantes I have almost the same symptoms I went to two ENTs one said meniere and one said no although I did the VNG test and was negative. I have ringing in both ears and feeling dizzy and when I have the bad dizziness I feel am going to fall and have pressure in my neck but no headache. I don’t know where to go they r not finding the issue

    2. @Tesnim Djadri the episodes of vertigo where the room is completely spinning and I cannot walk I have to stay in bed last anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days.

    3. @Tesnim Djadri I also feel like I’m falling Non-Stop kind of like that feeling you get in elevator when it drops those symptoms I have 24/7

    4. @Tesnim Djadri it’s extremely hard to describe kind of like I’m on a rocking boat as well as getting punched in the face the ears nose and throat doctor said I don’t have Meniere’s because I don’t really have hearing loss it’s very very little

  7. Like most people i have the same sympton.

At the start i got headaches regularly, then turned to migraine.

Then one day i suffered from vertigo, was bed ridden, world was spinning, i also vomitted.

Got some stemitil, which relieved it. However vertigo was still there. Been doing epiley manouver too. Somewhat helps.

Been taking serc, stopped by vertigo quite abit.
Now taking serc, for months, im getting vestibular migraine. Been taking stematil for it.

Both medicine helps. But when i move my head the throbbing, pulsating and dizziness is still there.

I need to see a specialist seems like its getting worse.

    1. Hi Airforce One…check out what I wrote to comment above yours even though yours was written a year ago…it will answer everything…

    2. @Airforce One it did work thankyou. I will email soon as trying to get my daughter to have her nap. Wish me luck 🤣

    3. Marlee Lyons i sent you email, not sure if it went through. Having issues with my email.

  8. hey pls tell me are vestibular migraines are dangerous??can vestibular migraines curable without medicine?? ……great content though GOD G BLESS U😊💖🙏

    1. It won’t kill you but it might make you wish you were dead. I had to lay down for a year.

    2. Hi Rebecca. Vestibular Migraines are not life threatening. It can however be debilitating whereby it can affect your studies, work and even social life. Vestibular migraines can definitely be treated without medications.

  9. I have been dizzy for about a year straight. It gets worse when I move my head especially when I lay down in bed and turn over…it makes my world spin so bad I get panic attacks. My ears ring and my head has pressure it in all the time like a migraine, especially when I bend down or pick up something heavy. It’s hard to drive because motion brings on an attack. It’s hard to look at my phone or play games because the motion. Idk what is going on but it sucks. I am going to see my neurologist in a month and maybe he can help me.

    1. @The Judge of Dread same here, GP’s don’t have a clue and they just say everything is anxiety, this shit ruins your quality of life

    2. 3 years 1 month straight 24/7 nonstop for me………No help! No empathy! And NO efficiency from our NHS and horrific healthcare system. Over a year to see a Neurologist, five years in Ireland. No services for Neuro-otologists! GP’s have no clue….. Its a nightmare. Good luck to you all 👍

  10. this was very helpful! Vestibular migraines can also be confused with and/or overlap with mal de debarquement syndrome. thank you for sharing this information! I hope that we’ll continue to have this information readily available for healthcare practitioners.

    1. Katelyn James yes I thought it may have been disembarkment syndrome following a elevator ride. ( she tips to the side in them) but she had not been in one
