Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD)

Loading ....

Claritox Pro is a natural supplement that helps you to get rid of dizziness and its complications. This supplement is considered as one of the most powerful supplements in the market for treating dizziness because it has a collection of ingredients that are not only effective but also safe. Details about Claritox Pro and how to get it is available on Claritox Pro official website.

When all your balance tests are “normal” but you still feel dizziness, imbalance, or a constant feeling of motion, you may have PPPD. Symptoms of PPPD include include non-vertiginous dizziness and unsteadiness that was increased by a person’s own motion, exposure to environments with a complex or moving stimuli (e.g., stores, crowds), and performance of tasks that required precise visual focus (e.g., reading, using a computer). Many PPPD patients are told that it’s “all in their head.” This is not a psychogenic disorder, and typically starts shortly after an event that causes acute vertigo, unsteadiness, dizziness, or disruption of balance.

  2. What is the neuroplasticity therapy? I have been prescribed Lexapro and am so scared to take it. I have pppd

    1. @Misha Eli lol maybe not but you never know. I think some people can still feel dizzy while in bed. Everyone is different.

    2. @Misha Eli no..lying down or In bed I don’t feel dizzy. That is a characteristic of PPPD. When you are sitting or laying down you should feel better.

  3. I was diagnosed with PPPD. It initially started with vestibular neuritis attack in my right ear. I felt dizzy, nauseous, unable to walk. Always had the feeling that i was swaying or like i am in a boat. The ENT doc gave me tests which are audiometry, vhit, vng, caloric test etc. Everything came back normal or near normal. But i still had that dizziness feeling. My doc told me that it is PPPD. What actually happens is that if you get affected by any middle ear infection or things like that you tend to be afraid; you become anxious; you restrict your motion and movement lest you fall on the ground; you always start thinking like “oh! What is going to happen?” “Will i suffer like this throughout my life?”. This fear and anxiety manifests itself solidly as PPPD. your balance system stays normal or near normal but your neurological pathways become messed up. The treatment is :
    Rest rest and more rest,
Avoid caffeine, smoking, drinking as much as possible.
    Vestibular rehabilitation exercises
Watch comedy, laugh your heart out. It relieves the anxiety. Your doctor may prescribe an SSRI medication to relieve your anxiety but i prefer the natural way.
Go for walks with a friend.
Start practicing football in your home. Trust me it does miracles to your balance.
    All the best.

    1. @Misha Eli I am at around 80%-90% fit. The doctor has advised me to continue VRT exercises for 4 years to be 99% fit. Hoping for the best

  4. Omg. Omg. This is what’s been happening to me for weeks. I’ve been to 5 doctors who said they couldn’t find anything wrong with me and what was causing it. I feel like their may be hope now I have been so depressed by this.

    1. @infamous2019 my doc put me on anxiety pills which I will have to say has helped with the lightheadedness.

    2. @Shelly W same here when I get dizzy/lightheaded I feel like I will pass out and then get anxiety from that which causes me shortness of breath

    3. Hello thank you for responding. Since my comment symptoms have got weirder. I still have constant lightheaded/dizziness. But now I’ve developed anxiety out of nowhere and occasionally shortness of breathe that’s docs have no idea why. Vitals are normal and so is oxygen level. So now not sure if this is it or not. Going for mri Thursday to check my brain.

  5. I am so happy to come across this page as reading these peoples stories helped so much. I woke up Dec 19th to fall out of bed and never been the same since. This is so frightening, scary and debilitating. I’m going on 4 weeks and already tired of living like this always dizzy, nauseated, light headed, unbalanced, depth perception and brain not working right. I couldn’t image having to live the rest of my life in this condition I would rather be euthanized than live with zero quality of life. Just overnight went from being vibrant and vivacious to being a vegetable with a brain as i’m terrified to walk i get so wobbly feels like i’m going to fall and keel over dead. This is so sad for everyone suffering this. I hope they can find relief for us and good luck to all of you !

    1. @Mandy Bartell Thanks and I drink very little coffee and caffeine as i know it brings on vertigo even worse.

    2. @Brenda Freund I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m curious do you drink caffeine/coffee?

    3. @Brenda Freund you are describing symptoms, but what did the doctors say? What lesion do you actually have? Sorry for your plight.

    4. @Arthur Simsa My brain doesn’t give messages to my eyes and ears so i can function with balance. my legs are like rubber and i’m like a drunk without the alcohol. my brain won’t reset and its been going on 7 months now. i have tried many things and still am but my brain doesn’t respond as of it to reset so i can be normal functioning again with my body. i just pray this isn’t permanent.

  6. Can antipycotic cause dizzyness i took my meds bummped into a wall and woke up a couple of seconeds later with dizzyness.

    1. Hi James, Many medications can cause dizziness. I would check in with your doctor to let them know what happened and tell them of your concerns.

  7. I have this problems nd also sleeping problem…. Is anyone have this…. Plss reply me…. I am in a very tenson

  8. So what can we do about this ? Sometimes even simple fatigue gives me this situation.

  9. Oh that seems like what I’ve got since a little over 2 months… I really hope I can get this gone. Life is really harder because of it..

    1. @benji mARCHE Not really no… more like my balance is off. You know like when you stand up fast after sitting down for a while, you get weirdly dizzy? It kinds of feels like that but all the time exept when I’m lying down.

I gotta say though, there has been a big improvement since I wrote my first post. Didn’t see specialist about that, it just seems to slowly go away on its own.

    2. Update: I feel a lot better now, I’m not dizzy and my vision has gotten a lot better. I did some research and talked to my counselor to find out I have a branch of some sort of depersonalization/derealization, so I got it sorted out.

    3. Do you get a falling sensation like your going down a slide or escalator even when ur sitting down and relaxing?

  10. Hello fellow dizziness warriors! My name is Noel and I have had PPPD for 2.5 years. I have an Instagram account dedicated to my journey with PPPD (@dizzily.noel) so if your looking for someone else with your condition to relate to feel free to reach out! My DMs are always open to fellow warriors! Questions, comments, and concerns are all welcome! I hope to see you there!

  11. I almost cried reading through some of the comments to hear and see that some people experience the same things that have been experiencing for years. It came all all the sudden and I have no idea from what. Some people say it’s vertigo but the room is not spinning nothing is spinning around me, it’s just that I feel unbalanced, unequal, lightheaded…I can’t even explain it…some days are worse than others. Even if I sit really still, it’s like I can feel myself swing back-and-forth or side to side. It’s so weird and has kept me from doing a lot of things. I had a CT scan done that was negative. I’ve had a vestibular test through my ENT Where they stir up the crystals in your ear and nothing came of that. I’m not sure what to do but I want my life back….. it is one of the worst feelings to feel as if you’re going to fall and lose control of your balance. God heal us!!!

  12. I also have pppd symtoms. Been to specialist ent, physician, and neurologist. They said it vertigo bppv. But i think mine are more towards pppd. Give meds none have worked. Been 2 months now. Is there are support group?if have pleasa add me. Fb nazryinz aj wilder. +60133609267

  13. ive dealt with this for almost 3 years now, and only got a diagnosis in November. Currently doing vestibular therapy for it, let’s hope it works 🙂

    1. @Vestibular Disorders Association yeah it took a while to get a diagnosis (i’ve been going to different doctors since may 2020). My therapy is now almost over, and it did seem to help ! Not completely back to normal yet, but I think if I start to meditate and practice mindfulness I’ll slowly start to recover and go back to normal. Also not thinking about the dizziness does help a lot

    2. This is a relatively new diagnosis, so it’s not unusual that your doctors didn’t know what was going on until recently. It sounds like you have a medical team who knows what they are doing. Feel free to contact VeDA directly if we can help you in any way (info@vestibular.org).

  14. I always have fungal infection in my right ear and having it cleansed by an ENT doctor like once or twice a month. I always feel dizzy. Been drinking antibiotics and using antifungal and antibacterial ear drops but fungi keeps getting there. I avoid my inner ear getting wet while bathing. Can thid cause that rocking boat sensation I feel everyday?

    1. Here’s some info about fungal infections and the ear: https://dizziness-and-balance.com/websearch/search.php?zoom_sort=0&zoom_query=fungal&zoom_per_page=10&zoom_and=0. Have you talked to your ENT about your dizziness? There are many possible causes (https://vestibular.org/article/what-is-vestibular/causes-of-dizziness/). One condition that results in a rocking or swaying feeling is Mal de Debarquement (https://vestibular.org/article/diagnosis-treatment/types-of-vestibular-disorders/mal-de-debarquement/). Please contact VeDA directly for one-on-one help (info@vestibular.org).

  15. I’ve been dealing with this for 3 years. I was 13 years old when it first started. I’m 16 now. My doctor made me do a VNG and results were good and I have a MRI soon but my doctor said it’s most likely PPPD. I hate it so much. I’m mentally and physically so tired of it. I can’t do anything and it sucks so much. I’m getting help and hopefully It works.

    1. @Haiden Golds you might have pppd. I watched this video by emjay styles and she explains it and if you have it watch her other video she has some tips and exercises.

    2. i hav the same thing and im 19 it started 3 months ago for me. have you started the help? does it work?

  16. This dizziness vertigo remedy truly does work. There is certainly definitely a big difference when I use it compared to when I I forgot about taking it. Dizziness is a huge trouble for me, but this item aids me with it. For the past days, my head is clear and I’ve had no outbreaks since. I save your time to do the research on Google. The tip’s name is under.
    Taylor Suρandaz
    well wishes

  17. Does anyone out there feel like the floor is vibrating all the time. I do..I also feel the rocking/swaying sensation like i’m in a boat, along with roaring tinnitus. I’m seeing an ENT now, who is trying to get the right diagnosis. BUT…the vibrations are the worst and are driving me mad…and I’ve only found a couple of people who mention vibrations and then, only when I mention it in a reply comment. One was a woman my age who commented on a youtube video about The Hum. She mentioned having the roaring sound..when I mentioned I did too, plus vibrations, she replied “I almost choked with I read that you felt vibrations b/c I did too.’….She thought the source of the vibrations was external. She said the roar and vibes continued for 10yrs and one day stopped and have not come back since. She lives in fear they will, b/c it was so horrific (it is for me too). Whenever she hears a loud roaring sound from a vehicle she panics thinking it’s come back, until the vehicle goes by and the sound goes with it. I’m trying to find others who also feel vibes b/c I wonder if it is a form of vertigo. I’ve experienced the common forms, diagnosed with BPPV in my 40’s, suffered with that for 3 decades; prior had a decade of migraines, undiagnosed b/c I didn’t have auras. and later was diagnosed with IBS…now I realize I may have been having vestibular migraines, which can occur in the abdomen as well as the head, based on my search for help. IF you feel vibrations please let me know and if you’ve gotten a diagnosis and treatment that has made them go away. I’ve had them for 7 months now and have to leave the house most days b/c they are the worst at home. I do experience them mildly elsewhere, and they are more tolerable.

    1. @Marky Doromal He suggested doing an MRI to rule out a tumor. But he left it up to me…I may do one, b/c I am a cancer survivor, 30 years now….He did other tests, like VNG..it was normal…he did hearing tests, before and after treatment and my hearing improved b/c of treatment but I do have loss in both ears in the very low range….He fixed my ear problem by doing a myringotomy (put a hole in my ear drum so the fluid would drain) which got rid of the stopped up ear and Eustachian tubes that wouldn’t stay open. But he didn’t have a clue as to what was causing the vibrations. As for the engine noise I hear he doesn’t know; suggested it could be due to anxiety. Suggested going to see someone who does alternative therapy using sound, can’t remember what he called it, at the moment. Suggested lipoflavonoids…he released me, said come back in a year…I’m on Flonase which he prescribed for seasonal allergies and dust allergy which caused me to have chronic ear infections from childhood into middle age. The first week I saw him he put me on Medrol, which is a steroid pack and I had 4 days in a row with no engine noise, no vibrations..which makes me wonder if I have an autoimmune disorder. I’m still dizzy and off balance most days..he suggested that my gait issues might be due to spine issues..I had a bulging disk for which I’m doing physical therapy. The dizziness, off balance and gait issues come and go. I think where I’m living exposes me to infrasound noises and vibrations and i’ve become sensitive to them..they can cause vertigo, and feeling vibrations. ……..This link explains it: https://www.avbend.com/blog/infrasound-the-noise-you-feel/

    2. @Dinahsoar How’s your ENT workups? noticed that your post was 5 months ago. And did your doctor perform an MRI scan on your brain? My doctor is recommending it if my dizziness and vibrations dont go away next week. sometimes I do feel like suddenly shaken in a boat or earthquake but it’s just me. 80% me is telling myself it’s all anxiety. In fact I might not pursue MRI. But I think my doc will insist. If it comes out normal Ill let you know. But do believe me our mental capacity is strong and can do strange things to ourselves. It’s a vicious cycle to keep noticing it and be bothered — it’s food for anxiety and the more we feel it. What ive learned when I had PTSD and panic disorder (i still have it now but very very minor to none) is that you really have to let go and just let it happen. And it will go away. But it does take time. It’s a huge virtue to let go and just live life. Ive been performing CBT on myself without psychiatrist to overcome my PTSD for the past year. Anyway, will update you next month.

    3. @Marky Doromal I’ve read about people experiencing what I experience being due to anxiety: https://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-disorders/symptoms/humming-sound-in-your-head/ I’m beginning to wonder if mine are due to anxiety….The vibrations I feel are not internal…I feel them wherever my body touches the floor or the ground. If I pick up my feet I don’t feel them in my feet. If I’m sitting, and pick up my feet, I feel them in my behind b/c it’s touching the chair that is touching the ground. My ENT says they have to be external..but I’m not certain b/c if they are, why can’t my husband feel them? The link above says “This humming, droning, rumbling, throbbing, or vibrating-like sound can seem like you ‘feel’ it too.” I do hear a sound that is like an engine idling/vibrating. It’s driving me crazy. What I can’t figure out is why some days I don’t hear it at all, and some days I hear the sound, and there are no vibrations at all…when that happens the engine noise sounds like it’s coming from far away, barely discernable. And there are a few rare days when I have total silence. The roaring engine sound is gone and the high pitched ringing I hear in my right ear is gone.

    4. i do feel vibrations like a phone in my head. and sometimes in my body. but only when i sleep. when i stopped worrying about it starts to go away or feel minor. this started a week ago and im on basic vertigo med (Serc) for my dizziness. but finding about pppd makes me think this isnt vertigo or bppv. i had bppv 2 years ago and it was spinning so pppd feels different. oh and along with bppv I was diagnosed Menieres. Ive had tinnitus for 14 years since i was a kid. so not sure these are connected

    5. @Dinahsoar Sounds like you are on the right track. Feel free to check out VeDA’s website for helpful articles on topics like diagnostic tests for vestibular disorders, labyrinthitis, etc. https://vestibular.org

  18. I have been facing problem since 2013 .I have Tight upper neck and shoulder pain .and I feel unsteady all the day .I feel that I am not stable. I feel floating . doctor said that I have cervical rediculopathy and positional vertigo.he suggested some medicine and exercises but my problem not solved.

    1. @starlite 77 no i don’t. I had an x ray and a neck MRI done, all came back fine.

    2. @Dolly’s world (Dolly ki duniya) what kind of pillow do you use at night?

    3. @Misha Eli do you have cervical issues and problematic neck condition? This could be the cause of your issues.

    4. @Misha Eli yes I do but when I do vestibular exercises and some good exercises for me neck and body I feel all this symptoms is getting light .so I do my vestibular and body exercises regular

    5. Do you feel like you are rocking on a boat even when you are lYing in the bed?

  19. I’ve been having pppd symptoms for around 18months. They are worse when I wear my glasses or contact lens. I’ve seen doctors, had mri scans and blood work done. All came back fine. Where is my next port of call? Should I see an ENT, a neurosurgeon? Any help appreciated

    1. PPPD is usually preceded by an event that caused dizziness. It’s important to get an accurate diagnosis. Here is a directory of vestibular healthcare professionals who can help you: https://vestibular.org/healthcare-directory/. Here is more info on PPPD: https://vestibular.org/article/diagnosis-treatment/types-of-vestibular-disorders/persistent-postural-perceptual-dizziness/. 20. I’ve had this same thing for a year, and I’m hearing you guys put up with it for 14. I can’t deal, idk what to do. I’m freaking out I just lost my grandma I can’t stop having this constant panic attack, my head just keeps pounding like it’s being crushed by my skull. I’m so dizzy. I need help, please someone reach out to me with ways to deal with it

    1. @White X hey same as me when i move my head the room seems like it tilts or something or sometimes i feel like its moving do you have tips to help with that?

    2. hey, hows it going I had something similar happen to me Rip to your grandma I lost mine as well this year. I got vertigo a week after and it stopped for like a month and now I don’t have it as bad but I feel it there whenever I turn my head my room tilts a bit but not extremely its so hard to tell but im sure its there and it scares me. I pray you get through it I know how bad it is.

  21. This dizziness vertigo remedy https://t.co/xFfs9TYvka has been a great help in my situation. Once I have my vertigo, I would really feel dizzy and also have exhausting episodes. This will make me nervous whenever I am driving my car or truck. In just 4 months, I have employed the guideline 2 times per day without fail and the effects are amazing. I haven’t suffered queasiness or dizziness.

  22. Could someone please give me advice on this this. So I’m always a stressed out person and have anxiety here and there. But yesterday I woke up and felt dizzy almost like I just got done spinning in circles. Then as the day progressed I felt better and it went away. Then this morning I woke up and it was here again and it’s still happening right now. Please help if anyone knows anything about this or what it is or if it’s just something that will go away soon.

    1. @Nate Reeves Medication side effects are a common cause of dizziness.

    2. @starlite 77 Hey so for me I found out it was a medicine I was taking. But I hope you figure out what is causing yours and I’m praying for you.

    3. Same here do you know what could have possibly caused your issues? I get this from waking up too very scary.

    4. Nate – there could be many reasons for your dizziness. It’s important to see a qualified vestibular specialist to get an accurate diagnosis. Check out VeDA’s vestibular provider directory, and contact us directly for one-on-one support (info@vestibular.org): https://vestibular.org/healthcare-directory/

  23. I have had this for 1 1/2 years. I am in NY. What doctor do I go to for treatment. Thanks,

    1. @Misha Eli not really. most of the unsteadiness is when I move especially stairs or a ladder.

    2. @kevin haff do you feel the rocking or swaying / floating sensations even when you are lying in bed?

    3. @Jennifer Vestibular Disorders Association Thanks. I tried the vestibular PT and didn’t work. Thanks.

    4. Hi Kevin,
I would recommend trying a physical therapist for treatment. They will have you try some physical therapy exercises that might reduce your symptoms so they are more manageable. I have provided a couple of vestibular physical therapists in the New York area below that might be able to help.
New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai
      – (212) 979-4000
      Therapy-In-Motion-(718) 435-7000

Please feel free to email us at info@vestibular.org if you have any questions!

  24. This is exactly what I have been living with for the last 4 years on a daily basis, it has completely turned my life upside down with bouts of depression and hopelessness. I dont remember anymore what it feels like to be normal.

    1. @benji mARCHE I have brain fog, and derealization+depersonalization , like I am in a dream… and tension/pressure in my head. Almost constantly.

    2. @Misha Eli yeah I get that drunk feeling too for me it feels like I’m high everyday. And there’s pressure like fog feeling on the left side of my head do you also have that?

    3. @benji mARCHE , man… I feel dizzy 24/7. Not just the dropping feeling. I feel like I am floating , i feel light headed, drunk and very out of it. Even when I lie in bed I feel like I am moving in my head. As if i were in a moving car or on a dock, or a boat. Not one second of relief. How I cope? I am taking a med now, (flunarizine) and hoping for the best.

    4. @Misha Eli hey Misha how do u cope with your symptoms on daily basis like let’s say if you go out and you sit down in a food court area do u get the dropping feeling?

  25. I had an anxiety attack at work May 2019, after that I was light headed non stop, had real bad neck pain and I was exhausted all the time so I went on medical leave..2 Months later didn’t get any better and they fired me..On medical leave. I haven’t had a job since because I’m so light headed all I can do is lay down. Sometimes it’s not as bad and I can get up and move around for maybe an hour then BAM! I’m super light headed again..This has destroyed my relationship, and my life I’m suicidal and need help. I’ve got ever head scan and bliss test possible everything came back normal. I can’t provide for my kids or girlfriend and I’m basically a burden at this point. If I can’t be cured it’s no reason for me to be here.

    1. @Luis Lopez I have cervical issues and TMJ I find switching neck positions while sleeping gives me this sensation. Neck feels tight stiff and painful. Did you eventually zero in on what’s causing this issue?

    2. Hang tight buddy: never ever give up, look at all the good in your life and stick with Giod, he has a purpose for you!

    3. @starlite 77 I’ve thought that myself: that’s my next approach: chiropractic medicine to see if that solves the problem 🙏 what makes you think that?

  26. My dizziness and lightheaded is so bad that is making me depressed I guess super pale from my knee down it feels funny my dizziness and lightheaded will come and go I could be fine for two years and then next year comes I will feel like crab throughout the whole year and my doctors cannot explain where it’s coming from i’ve been to the ENT and I had x-ray done and a Emma ride done my blood test will come back normal I do not know what to do no more is a feeling that I cannot explain I would just feel so weird and out of place like I’m going to die but I am going to my doctor soon and I will explain to him what’s going on again to see what we can do next

    1. Hi Adriana,
I am so sorry that you are going through this! If you would like to email info@vestibular.org I would be happy to speak with you more about your symptoms and see if there are any specialists in your area who may be able to help.

    1. @Vestibular Disorders Association Thanks for your answer! And thanks for the video also, very informative.

  27. For the past 10 months I have been having a constant feeling of unsteadiness and off balance . Some days it’s better some days it’s worse . I have been to my doctor so many times and have gotten MRI and CAT scans of my brain and everything came back normal . My doctors kept telling me to drink water and take medicine like Claritin clear and wait so I just stop going to the doctor. it was so discouraging to the point I was wishing it was something to do with my brain so I could finally find the cause of this feeling. My uneasiness and off balance is heightened when I go to grocery stores . I have been having anxiety attacks and I never knew that the anxiety that I have may been causing this problem. I’m only 20 years old so I feel like no one in my family is taking me seriously. I also come from a black family so they don’t really believe in these types of things like anxiety and depression. This video has been what I have been searching for !

    1. @Siji Kuriakos I had vertigo spells , so like room spinning dizziness that was short episodes then i had like an off balance sensation all the time

    2. @The Brat what type of dizziness u had. 4me inside my head is moving. Which month u got better .all the time u have dizziness

    3. @Siji Kuriakos my dizziness has gotten better . I have periods of time where I’m not dizzy and feel relatively normal , then sometimes I’ll be dizzy and unbalanced constantly. I noticed that my dizziness get so bad when I’m anxious and I struggle with anxiety so I’m just taking things day by day . But , I can say from 7 months ago when I wrote that comment , I’ve gotten a lot better ! I’m still wishing that one day the issue will magically go away forever and I can go back to living my life like how I used , hopefully in time

  28. Oh my god. Ive been to so many doctors. They always tell me its migranes because im sensitive to light and colors, but i never had pain. Just a pressure feeling in my brain. I still plan on getting an MRI done, but ive never heard of something so similar to how i feel. For a couple years now, i walk into a store and get extremely dizzy to the point where i feel like ill faint, i get a weird pressure sometimes in my head, and of course anxiety follows so my heart rate goes wack. Its good to know i have a chance to bring this up to a doctor to see if they can tell.

    1. I don’t get light sensitivity but I get baaad head pressure and a heavy head, I often watch TV with my head on the arm of the sofa when it’s heavy

    2. Mine started back in April of this year. First it was head pressure then neck pain, then after, the rocking/swaying dizziness came out of nowhere. Neurologist diagnosed me with migraine. Like you, I also have sensitivity to light and bright neon colors.

    3. You literally described what I’ve been going through. Stores are a big trigger for me also. I always get like lightheaded/faint feeling.

  29. I have had dizziness for about 18 months. Been to 3 ENT had numerous tests. Still not 100% sure. My dizziness has become worse over the last 10 days. Seeing a Vestibular Physio for the 2nd time today. He has been very understanding. Not sure but suggestion is SSCD but not confirmed. Blocked ears dizzy worse when straining also tinitus. Can drive and thank god no nausea. Just off balance 24/7. Any other suggestions to help.

  30. So I had chronic ear infections back to back that I couldn’t shake. Finally I got rid of them but never felt the same after. This is exactly how I feel. Do you think it’s pppd? It sure sounds like it. I feel spaced out daily and balance is an issue.

    1. @Robert Johnson does he think the vertigo issue is TMJ? Do you wake up with sore neck and jaw pain?

    2. @Mario Avila I had blood work about a year ago thought maybe thyroid. He said if the mouth piece doesn’t help with anything we will try other things.

    3. @Mario Avila he said maybe I bite down at night so he gave me a mouth guard. I snore very loud.

  31. I am in tears , I have been dealing with all this for 10 months ! After I had my baby I had a horrible ear infection to the point my ear was hot and hot wax would leak out ,but I had just had a C-section so my ear was the least of my problems , well about 4-5 days after having my son I went to put somthing in the oven and my head started with all these symptoms everyone is describing, of course I panic , and I tried to get help but They just prescribed me Anxiety meds which helped my anxiety but never my other symptoms , I deal with this daily and unless I’m driving or swinging on a swing I feel all these symptoms I thought I was just crazy when I’m in grocery stores it gets worse or if I suddenly walk into a dark room or even pick one leg up I feel so unsteady 😭😭😭 I need help as far as what to ask my ENT to look for I’m going September 17th thank you

    1. @Breighahhhna H. oh ok girl. Keep me updated. How are you feeling today?

    2. @Vannessa Vidal they have to call me to schedule something so not sure yet hopefully soon

    3. @Breighahhhna H. Hey, I’ve never heard of this. When are you scheduled for MRI?

    4. Ok so I had a hearing and balance test every thing was normal EXCEPT for my Bithermal Calorics this is what they said , there is a significant bilateral weakness with a total of all eye speeds of 5 degrees per second, which is consistent with bilateral peripheral disorder, CNS abnormality, or pharmaceutical effect .

Literally the only meds I take daily is my Synthroid for hypothyroidism and my dose had strep changed for 4+ years before this started , wondering if you have ever come across this , my ENT is stumped and sending me for a MRI

    5. Hey girl, I’ve been going through the exact same thing as you for the past 5 months😔 I know how scary it can be. I just wanna feel normal again. Stores are a big trigger for me. As soon as I enter I feel like I’m gonna fall over to the ground. Kind of like lightheaded/faint feeling. I don’t feel it when I’m driving or lying down. I’ll be praying for you🙏❤

  32. Does VEDA support the use of SSRI’s to treat PPPD? Through my research SSRI’s are really the only considered medication to help recovery from PPPD.

    1. @Jacob William did u ever do VNG TESTING, did you mind ever play tricks on you

    2. @Mario Avila Lightheaded all the time make worse when I would move around better if i was sitting or laying. Best thing to help it was focusing on something else and getting exercise

    3. @Mario Avila I ended up not needing them i did get a perscription turns out all I needed was more work and excercise

  33. So can high stress and anxiety be the root cause of this? and whats keeping the condition going?

    1. @Mario Avila i don’t know but it feels so real that prevents us to believing that it can be due to anxiety

    2. @Andi Vestibular Disorders Association why do most doctors say it’s anxiety caused can u help me out what can it be

  34. I am having those symptoms you talked about since 2013 and I have consulted the neurologist a month ago but he said when the symptoms are too old, then they don’t take it seriously. But the symptoms are bothering me in my daily life, while I drive, while I change clothes, while I cook, while I brush my teeth I get imbalanced, while I walk …I can’t go straight, and while I sit in front of computer whole day at work etc. But this doctor didn’t take it seriously. When I told him how I feel, he looked at me as if I am a complete idiot, which was quite discouraging. Should I contact an ear, throat and nose doctor instead of….please suggest. I had got my head scanned two weeks ago, and I don’t know how the scanning looks, I will get the answer from this dumb neurologiost on Monday 17/8. Can somebody please write to me if you had experienced the same issues, and what treatment did you get…..I will be really thankful.

    1. @Neeta Nagi I don’t know it appears that neck and jaw related issues could cause this.

    2. @Neeta Nagi I’m not sure about the twitching but the other bbpv symptoms you were experiencing sitting at the computer etc. Do you get the vertigo while sleeping switching neck positions?

    3. @starlite 77 do you mean twitching in cheeks and lips? I didn’t think it can be neck related. I got a shoulder surgery in last August and recovering from it. My neck muscles are stiff, so are my shoulder and chest muscles. So yes, you could be right that it could be neck related. We have been under lock down til last week, that is why I didn’t contact physiotherapy. Thank you for giving me this idea🙏🏻. I will see if a physiotherapist can fix it😁

  35. I suffer from severe anxiety and been feeling lightheaded that comes in waves. Not so much dizzy where things are spinning more so in my head feeling woozy light headiness. Could Anxiety be the culprit doctor seems to think so

    1. @Aniruddh Karekar but thanks you too! The less you think about it the better it will get. Just have to learn how to relax the mind and rewire it.

    2. @Aniruddh Karekar all has to do with the nervous system and how it gets stuck in a hyper state. Not always a deficiency though it can be for some. But rare. Can also be caused by other illnesses. All goes back to our ancestors and how they survived. But since we don’t have threats like that today, our bodies perceive other things as threats and are just trying to prepare us for fight.

    3. @Mo Turn I think anxiety is based on physical symptoms so we must cure the root cause which may be a deficiency or something else. Mine is the same I have anxiety and panic episodes from my physical symptoms. Hopefully you’ll get healthy soon

    4. @Mo Turn I feel unsteadiness (balance issue) while walking do you feel the same ??

  36. Thank you so much for posting this video. I feel very hopeful now. I was beginning to think I was going crazy. You explained it to a T.

    1. How are you now? Please help me, i am feeling dizzy all day since last one year 😢🙏

  37. After 4 years of going to neurologists, psychiatrists, otolaryngologists.. I was finally diagnosed with vestibular migraine and PPPD. Infortunately, I had side effects with all SSRI which are the only efficient treatments despite my VBRT. Moreover, I live in France and it is not well known here, and know I’m completely losing hope 😞

    1. lisa Si I don’t know if it’s going to help me more than the rehabilitation I did but thank you, I’m going to try

  38. Hey please reply
Whenever I am looking at my screen
I have having a feeling of dizziness and restlessness and am not able to concentrate and cant think properly

Is this because of pppd please reply please

    1. same here. when im on my phone for a long time, i suddenly feel nauseous and dizzy. i find applying ice to my eyes and nape helpful and also cold water to my feet.

  39. l have been feeling dizzy and wanting to throw up for 3 weeks now and lm so tired of this can someone please tell me what is going on??

    1. @Andi Vestibular Disorders Association any tips for bilateral vestibular weakness

  40. WOW…You just described what Ive been feeling for 8 months!! I have been to so many Doctors without any answers…The vestibular therapy helped me alot but there is still some anxiety and minor depression that I am going through. My primary doctor prescribed me with an SSRI called Lexapro. Do you believe I am on the right path to recovery??

    1. @Mario Avila i was dizzy almost all day. My symptoms were terrible during the morning and i had just a little relief at night. The dizzyness was worst standing and sitting, screens and crowded places too and better resting in bed. Lightheadednrss and like a preassure sensation around the head too. The first two ir three weeks i experienced side effects like anxiety, nightmares, diarrhea, but i adjusted the dosage and now everything right!

    2. @Ian Islas what were your symptoms and did u have any side effects from the meds

  41. I’m at a loss with every doctor I’ve seen saying it is anxiety, the only thing I’m anxious about is this exact description of what i have been feeling like and living with for years which has now just seem to come back recently with a vengeance and I am unable to do the things I love without anybody understanding because there is no visible symptoms. But this finally seems to be what I am going through. I have seen a ton of doctors as well as neurologists and they don’t even have an answer. Where do I go from here to get more help and try and cure this??

  42. If i feel these swaying sensations in my body but they don’t get worse in an environment with rich visual stimuli could this still be PPPD? I don’t have other symptoms associated with vestibular diseases so I’m not sure what to think.

    1. @AJ Green oh I thought your reply meant that it was getting better for you since it doesn’t get worse in a dynamic environment now;)

    2. @suffering old man that’s great news! What have you been doing to make it better?

    3. I was wondering the same thing. Mine used to get worse in environments like that, but now I don’t.

  43. I have struggled with dizziness on and off for the last five years and have received different diagnoses from different doctors. I meet with a vestibular specialist on the 28th of this month as right now it’s looking like either vestibular migraines or PPPD.

    1. Andi Vestibular Disorders Association thank you so much for your thoughtful response and the articles. I will definitely read them and reach out as needed!

  44. Thanks for sharing that. Overall fantastic description of such a complex condition. I’m finding clinically that some of my PPPD patients are having unresolved neck issues causing this mismatch. Unfortunately you need a qualified manual therapist to help make that distinction.

    1. @Ashley Deffert do you feel the vertigo more while waking up in the morning or lying down on bed?

    2. @Jeremy Ryan – THINK PHYSIO One thing I could use some help with is trigger points on the trapezius muscle.

Thank you! I appreciate your care =)

    3. @Ashley Deffert the nxt few weeks im posting relevant stuff to help release your neck from home. If you feel stuck, ill see what I can do virtually. All the best Ash.

    4. @Jeremy Ryan – THINK PHYSIO true. I wish my current area had a good doctor who had experience in this.

I’m going to check out your channel and try some techniques.

    1. @Misha Eli what came first for you anxiety or this dizziness off balance
