  1. I think my doctor said it was low blood pressure. Because I’m a poor water drinking and the cause is dehydration.

  2. I actually felt this just today. I sat up out of bed and was dizzy, and ever since I got out of bed ive been somewhat dizzy. Not to the point of disorientation but enough to notice.

  3. Can you do a video on Niacin (B3). Is it beneficial? Good for lose skin, fat cell, ketoers. Should anyone take it? Good for Detox?

  4. My daughter has postural orthostactic tachycardia syndrome. Usually called POTS. The dizziness is very common. Along with a group of symptoms. It is usually misdiagnosed for years. It is the same test but a heart rate rise of over 30. It is more common in women and usually occurs in young women

    1. I have this. Blood pressure drops and heart rate increases anywhere up to 55bpm when standing. Blood pools in legs and hands so they look red/purple. Can’t stand on the spot long without falling or even fainting. At its best I can move around for small periods of time but can never stand still, have to be moving, and at its worst I have to lay down all the time. Pots is debilitating and there are so many potential causes. Nothing helps so far but haven’t given up.

    2. I also have EDS and pots which is common with type 3,   Salt, fluids and exercise as tolerated help me.

I went to a neurologist for this and my tilt table test wasn’t very telling…. But, my symptoms do occur when I go from laying to sitting to standing (it must be due to the stress and pressure on my legs in my case, whereas the tilt table test was still in a laying down position and thus I was in a relaxed position). So, my doc was a bit perplexed bc he saw the records of my HR and my history of orthostatic hypotension and hypotension. I have have ehlers danlos, which is a fairly common comorbidity. What is helping your daughter with her symptoms? It’s really a tough thing to deal with, and also to get properly diagnosed, so I’m glad to hear she is finding out answers!

  5. You are a Gem of a doctor. We need more doctors like you in this world to make this world healthier and happier

  6. Dr Berg, I have tachycardia (resting HR of 100) and it shoots up to 130 when I stand up. I’m always dizzy and have head pressure, nausea, body aches, fatigue. I’m also very hypotensive. What would be the cause of this? Doctors have not been any help and I was wondering if this was something you have come across in your clinic. Thanks!

    1. Have you got metal tooth fillings Veggie or have you ever had flu vaccines? Also have you begun losing hair?

    2. Veggie Bee please see my response above. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

It’s horrible, isn’t it? My heart pounds so hard I can see it. I had doctors say it’s dysautonomia, anemia, and hypothyroidism, but nothing has worked to solve it. It gets exponentially worse in the summer bc of the heat and humidity… My feet are burning hot and I can’t cool down. Has anything helped u?

  7. I have severe Orthostatic Intolerance or vasovagal syncope. My BP during a tilt table test dropped off the chart, as did my heart rate. I take Midodrine multiple times daily which helps kept the BP pumped up so I don’t faint. A couple years ago I couldn’t get off the couch without falling over. Had similar issues for a while but within a few months went out of control. Was having stroke like episodes of crazy visions & disphasia. Very scary stuff.

  8. I’m fine while exercising and jumping up and down, but can get really dizzy all of a sudden when I just bend down to pick up something during the day. This puzzles me. My blood sugar tends to be on the low side. Also, used to get dizzy an hour or two after breakfast, but skipping breakfast actually makes me feel better. No dizzy or shaky spells in the morning any more (except when bending down at times).

    1. Jumping around means your lower body muscles or contracting & act like a pump to push all the blood back up through your body. This means blood to your brain as well as oxygen to your brain which stops the dizziness. Bending down you may have already had blood pooling downwards in your body so the quick motion down & up drains it away from your brain & their isn’t that same propulsion. Not necessarily anything to do with blood sugar

  9. Thank goodness for this video, I have this problem for long time and so scare about it. Thank you Doc. Please do video on nosebleeds for kids please please

    1. My husbands nose bleeds came from adding black pepper to everything since I no longer use seasonings! they almost immediately stopped after a couple of meals my family doctor had suggested to stop the pepper and honestly I thought it was crazy well worth the try. Beacause I did once pay $1,000 for an er visit so a so called doctor can tell me to squeeze his nose and the bleeding would stop now that is crazy! Please if you do consume it try eliminating it for a week!

  10. I knew it was from blood pressure but this started for me when I went on a ketogenic diet. I think in my case it’s because I’m on bp meds and maybe my bp is going more normal due to proper eating for awhile. Time to get it checked!!

    1. NewYorkGirlieGirl That sounds like it’s likely be a lack of B1 as the need for it & the whole B complex go up on Keto!

  11. Just saw your post on this. I have another alternative answer to this and one i can speak from first hand experience as i spend the July 4th weekend in the Hospital E.R. On Friday I was fine up till point after driving home on commute, I got up and out from car and started walked into my house and all suddenly was dizzy, lightheaded, with rapid heart/pulse rate. I could barely standup and almost passed out standing up. Sitting down slowed things down a bit to recover, but standing up went back to rapid heart/pulse, dizziness etc. Ended up in the E.R. And had a blood count of 6/14. I was shocked when Dr told me! Had a bunch of test and an Endoscopy Exam of GI Track. I had a bleeding Stomach Ulcer for some unknown amount of time that caused me to loss over 1/2 my blood count. On standing up, heart didn’t have enough blood to pump blood around body and to brain which caused me the rapid heart/pulse rate, lightheaded and dizziness. Spend 3 days in the E.R., had 2 blood transfusions, IV and some meds to heal my Stomach and GI Tract. Was put on Pantoprazole for medication to continue to heal GI Tract. But that one almost killed me. In my case, the dizziness from standing up plus execrated heart/pulse rate and can barely stand was caused from loss of blood from internal bleeding.

  12. Love your channel. I just found you yesterday, and I’ve already watched hours of your content. Keep up the great work. 🙂

    1. Alec M I always thought it was due to low blood sugar because it usually happens to me when I am dieting
