  1. I feel so much dizziness when laying down. Tried this method, I still felt dizziness and breath difficulty when I opened my eyes. Now it gets better 5 minutes after I get up. Thanks

  2. Wow. Fixed me! Thank you so much!!! <3 I wasn't sure which side it was. First did it to the right. When I got up I got sooo dizzy. 😮 Clearly it was the wrong side. Did it on the left. As soon as I laid down with my head at 45 degrees it was like the computer in my head was trying to reset. That eye movement - I saw the ceiling kept shifting in front of my eyes over and over. So trippy! 😮 But then it settled. I completed the movement and... so far so good. Thank you again! <3

    1. Totally Im scared to do this today. Im going to sleep first and maybe tomorrow i cant try it im so scared😭.

  3. *I was going through days of hell trying to fight severe veritgo off and after doing this I got sick, laid down and 20 minutes later it was gone. Such an awesome method to get rid of such an awful experience!*

  4. I wanted to post another small comment. I watched another video of this issue and a lot of people, including myself currently, are dealing with post epley correction residual dizziness. In my opinion this is actually worse than vertigo itself. And it can take a while for this to get better. But I do feel that this should be addressed in future videos dealing with the epley maneuver because a lot of people are dealing with this, myself included.

  5. I have another comment or two. I mentioned that I did the epley maneuver on myself almost a week ago and I did get the spinning sensation that was an indication that the crystals were being moved. I was hoping things would be better. Unfortunately things have gotten worse for me. The vertigo is not there anymore because I did the epley again and nothing happened. But now I feel very unbalanced and my ears feel really full for lack of a better way to say it. My head feels even more heavy now and it sometimes feels like I have a rubber band wrapped around my head and squeezing it. I’m not in any pain at all but I am really feeling this unbalanced thing but I can still keep my balance. I am scheduled to go see my ent doctor in a month but I don’t know if I can wait that long. I have heard that the epley maneuver will actually make some people feel worse for a period of time before they start feeling better but I don’t know for sure if that will happen with me or not. This stuff is awful and terrible to have to deal with.

    1. @Altto G mpole I wanted to take a few moments to reply back to you. I’m guessing you are from another country and not the United States. I still have the heavy feeling in my head. My ent doctor, ear nose and throat, told me that what I am experiencing is basically post epley maneuver residual dizziness. That unfortunately happens to many people and I apparently am one of them. I don’t know exactly what is causing your heavy head symptoms so to speak. I did have vertigo about 5 weeks ago and I did the epley maneuver and it took care of the crystals in my head. But again I am still going through residual dizziness from this maneuver and others have to deal with the same symptoms. I was told just to keep doing my normal activities even if they make my head feel heavy. The idea is to help my brain and my vestibular system relearn each other and get back in sync. But this is what is going on with me. I don’t know what is causing your symptoms. I don’t know if you are experiencing vertigo and have had the epley maneuver done on you or not. So I am just telling you about my experience and symptoms but I can’t speak for what you are dealing with.

    2. Hello I have the same feeling as yours…
Are you better now if so please help I will appreciate

    3. after that my night dizziness suddenly gone but it came back yesterday but I will try it again

  6. I just wanted to make a hopefully brief comment or 2. After suffering from a spinning sensation last night, I decided to try the epley maneuver again today since it appears that I do actually still have bppv. I started with the left side first and had a mild spinning reaction but not much. I went ahead and completed the maneuver with no more reaction. After 5 minutes I decided to do the right side and I had a major spinning sensation and reaction to the right side. I’m guessing I was treating the wrong ear. The spinning only lasted for a couple of seconds but it was intense but I stayed at it. After the spinning totally stopped, I went to the left ear but nothing happened. After 30 seconds I went to complete the procedure by turning to the left side and looking down and once again I had a major reaction for about 6-8 seconds and then it slowed down and stopped. I will probably do this maneuver again for another day or 2 and see what happens and I’m hoping to get better with my vertigo symptoms.

    1. @vernonson try a medicine called Betaserc its made for vertigo and it will lower your dizziness or any symptoms that comes with it. But ofcourse ask your doctor about it first you might not have vertigo in the first place to take just to be cautious. I hope you feel well soon man and stay strong 💪🏻

    2. Sorry you don’t feel any better. I tried it and I do feel a little so hopefully it worked a little.

    3. @Lisa Atansio unfortunately no I don’t feel any better after my last few times doing the epley maneuver. I just tried it again the other day and I am not going to mess with it anymore. The past few times I’ve had no reaction and I do honestly feel worse now. I don’t think I have bppv anymore. I’m thinking I have persistent positional posteral dizziness. I probably spelled one of those p words wrong but my head feels constantly heavy and way unbalanced all the time. I’m going to see an ent on august 20th but until then I just have to suffer and endure this misery. With all that being said, you might have better success with the epley maneuver and I truly hope you do if you still plan on trying it. The epley maneuver doesn’t work for everyone all the time and I’m one of the those people. I wish you the best with your issues.

    4. @Lisa Atansio that maneuver worked for me.. I’m now free of the vertigo.. alhamdullah

    5. Do you feel better a week later? I’ve been experiencing vertigo the past 2 days and I’m going to try that manuever.

    1. @Star Gazing 1st week I took one morning and one evening. After food. Now much better I’m taking one after dinner.

  7. I will try to be brief. I just tried this epley maneuver for the umpteenth time about half hour ago and I also tried the half somersault maneuver as well. I did both maneuvers for both ears and I had absolutely no reaction or anything. So my guess is that there is something else causing me to have this off balance feeling in my head. I had a vertigo spinning sensation attack almost a year ago and since then I have been trying to find out how to deal with the off balance effect which is worse some days than others. But I’m really not sure if I am suffering from dizziness now or something else. I had a brain mri last year and that was clear. I have been trying vestibular exercises on my own and I still don’t feel any better. I have been to therapists and that didn’t work. So I honestly don’t know what is going on. The only thing that consoles me is that I’m not alone in this struggle. But again these head maneuvers are not working for me.

    1. @Cinque Terre I’m just now having the time to reply back to you. While I do appreciate you attempting to help, I respectfully disagree with you about having someone help me with the epley maneuver. I have had this maneuver done on me by 2 different therapists in the past year and they both specifically showed me how to do it by myself. Unfortunately the maneuver didn’t work when they tried it several times each on me at various times and of course it still hasn’t worked in the past week. But I do know of others who have done the epley maneuver on themselves without assistance and it worked for them. If there are no crystals stuck in your ear canal, then this maneuver will not work regardless of who performs it on you. But I disagree with you saying someone has to help you, that is not correct. I’m not trying to argue this point or start a debate, but I am respectfully disagreeing with you about having help with this maneuver. But I don’t believe I am suffering from bppv, it is something else going on but I don’t know what it is and sadly most doctors and other professionals really don’t either.

    2. Someone have to help you. It honestly for some unknown reason will not work for me alone. And my daughter tells me when she sees my eyes twitch and she knows I’m good. Try to get someone to help you and really it’s a bedside manner thing that makes a difference.

    3. I feel you. I suffer from a different vertigo at times that clears within a day. But the last week I have been having this positional vertigo. I have been to the chiropractor twice for neck adjustments and they work for about a day. Then I am back to this “waves of dizziness” when I change positions. If I stand, I actually sway backward with each wave. Go figure. Sigh.

  8. If the maneuver is successful, will the relief be immediate or might it be more gradual? Thank you.

    1. There is usually still a residual effect from the misplacement of the crystal(s), so generally the relief is gradual.

  10. My wife did this two times and it got worse. Does that mean she doesn’t have Bppv? Thanks.

  11. Мне помогла эта гимнастика, я мучалась 8лет, спасибо доктору, определил именно этот диагноз. Сделала пару раз и всё получилось. Теперь голова не кружится.

    1. I’ve heard recommendations to do it 3 times each evening before bed until resolved. First dont eat for 4 hrs beforehand and take motion sickness pill like meclizine

  12. For most of my adult life I’ve suffered with bouts of this kind of dizziness. After countless Dr appointments trying to figure out what caused this dizziness it would seem the Dr YouTube might have finally helped me find a potential fix.

It does raise some questions though. If these “Crystals” are so easily dislodged, does this mean that this Epley Maneuver is only a temporary fix at best?
Also: regarding these dislodged Crystals, is there no way to remove them permanently or does the Epley Maneuver somehow secure them back in their original place?
Are they like kidney stones that can build up and cause these dizziness problems or can they be removed by some medical procedure or some medication?

    1. @FBI Yea, I figured as much. I was just hoping that like some kidney stones there are drugs that might be able to dissolve them or something like that.
I don’t think I’d want to risk a surgery that carries no chance that they won’t come back.

    2. there is a surgery that can be done to block them from dislodging but it carries the risk of some hearing loss. However you would talk to a specialist about anythign like this first. Once the cryustals are pback in place they stay there normally but could be dislodged again at some points in life

  14. I finally have hope , thanks for your video! Im dizzy only when i am moving and when i turn my head to the left. Kindly suggest an exercise for me. Ty and God bless!

  15. After 2 years of dizziness, histamines, acupuncture, manoeuvres, exercises etc I finally was recommended to contact a herbal doc . he was amazing and after a few questions felt he knew what my problem was.
He gave me a herbal mixture and instructed me on how to use it
Am glad to tell everyone here today that am finally free from vertigo.
    Anyone needs his detail?

    1. It seems as though the herbal mixture is not necessary since the maneuver the cure is displayed in this video.

    2. @Spngirl 67 Forget all that nonsense about herbal mixtures. Have a look at Dr Mandell’s videos about vertigo and cure yourself.

    3. @Patience bekisu hi how long did it take for you to get your medicine since its from Africa? And does it really work?
Please let me know i would really appreciate it! I reached out to this doctor myself.

    1. Lay down flat on you back turn your head to the right if you spin it’s your right ear if you spin on the left it’s your left
