I got a concussion from a slot machine In June of 2018. Ever since then my life has been a living hell. The machine had no drink holder so I put the drink inbetween two machines and when I bent down to grab my drink I accidentally bashed my head into the slot machine. I saw stars but didn’t think anymore of it. Then about 3 weeks later I started getting extremely dizzy, extreme headaches and really bad mood swings an depression to the point of despair. I went to a neurologist and found out I had a concussion. So I had to totally change my diet, finally from June to September I started feeling better and then boom I bashed my head on a shelf at my dads house, and this time it was worse than ever. I had to sit in a dark room with no lights on and just cry alone. I could barely stand or walk it was by far the worst experience of my life. This lasted from Sept until about November. Then it slowly started getting better until December I was feeling normal again so I started drinking caffeine again and it started back up again! So I stopped the caffeine again and it went away but took a couple months. At this point I just wanted to move on with my life and the symptoms seemed to have gotten better after about 6 months. So by June I was drinking caffeine again and eating what I wanted feeling fine. then I accidentally bashed my head with a door tryin to stop my puppy from getting into a room so he would go on my floor. I knew right then and there what I was most likely in store for but I figured its been so long since my last injury that id’e be ok.I started having headaches again about 3 weeks later so I tried to take it easy yet again.This lasted for a few months but then went away. So finally just recently as in about a week ago I decided to take the step to try lifting again (because my body has now gotten soo weak from not being able to lift for over a year) I started really slowly only did two reps of curls on each arm..felt fine the next day but then the day after that the dizziness came back! Now I’m back to feeling terrible once again and I honestly feel like theirs some kind of curse on me hitting my head. My depression is worse than ever before! I feel lost and hopeless as I just keep hitting my head as soon as I heal up and Im beginning to wonder will I ever have a life again? This has completely ruined my life as its holding me back from everything! If I so much as raise my voice to loud it comes back. I feel so alone and empty inside, I feel hopeless
Have you tried physical therapy, they do vestibular therapy. Sports pt are the best. I’ve been getting help for a year and it’s helped me a lot. Also, you need to exercise to keep your brain stimulated. I completely understand. Some days I hate my life, but I’ve come a long way.

My step dad fell off a treadmill, hit his head, still suffers dizziness from a concussion. Not too many things have made him feel better after 12 weeks. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

living with constant dizziness daily since minor car accident may 2018…the headache is gone which lasted daily for 5 months…dizziness especially from bright office led light.. hopefully it will get better and recover within one to two years like the headache.
