  1. I missed the discounts for “Hot Head Cap” any new coming soon?? #brokenursestudent :–)

  2. I always look forward to watching your videos. I learn new things every time. Iโ€™d like to see you try the tea treatment.

  3. Great info! I know when I first began my curly hair journey exactly one year ago, my hair fell out so much I got really scared but I did use a great deal of silicone in my hair products and I have eczema which makes your hair fall and I also take strong medications which also make your hair fall. It’s been challenging making all these adjustments but I do have to say that since I’ve been doing the curly method, my hair is getting thicker and stronger. I am now being consistent with deep conditioning, I do use castor oil on my scalp, I take vitamins with biotin and ceramides, I eat much healthier and I think that’s about it! lol! I hope this helps someone. I know what it is to lose my hair and have bald patches so my heart goes out to you. By the way, Bianca your hair is so beautiful and the color green looks really good on you!

  4. I absolutely swear my curls by the Palmers coconut oil formula deep conditioning protein pack! It works absolute wonders on my 3c, fine curls and I’ve heard from some of my friends with tighter type 4 textures having successes with this too! When I was transitioning, I always bought a ton of the little sample sizes (which lasted for 2-3 wash days sometimes 4) and I swear by it my curls came back so strong and healthy after consistently using it for a whole year! I saw a difference within MONTHS on my damaged stringy lifeless hair. Even just yesterday, fully natural now, I revisited it and my curls LOVE this stuff! I have tried good deep conditioners no doubt but this one just snags my heart every time I use it. The only con is for whatever reason, they only come in a little sample pouch. There’s no actual pot or bottle for the product itself but you can still get a good amount of uses out of it for only $3 at your local beauty supply!!! Hope this helps x

  5. My hair sheds more than normal when the seasons change. I use a black tea rinse every other week for 2 mths and my shedding is return back to its normal amount

  6. You are the curly hair goddess ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ omg I really need a video on curly hair routine for the week!!! My curls only last about two days so I usually throw it up in a bun but I hate gel cause I have sensitive scalp. Iโ€™d be so excited and interested to see how you maintain a week of curls !!

  7. Yea my hair used to fall out a lot when I took a shower and then I saw your video on sulfate and stuff like that and I started getting sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and my hair started falling out less and less!

  8. I used to always finger detangle and I never had problem with hair loss/shedding, but then I got lazy and somehow started detangling with a brush and I started shedding hair like crazy! Now I’m back to finger detangling and I’m already noticing less hair loss.

  9. Hask keratin protein deep conditioner ๐Ÿ™‚ for the ladies in South Africa. Please do the tea rinse ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Thanks for this video!! If you find more deep conditioners with protein that are curly girl friendly will you make an updated video please?

  11. Could hair loss also be because your hair is damaged? Every time Iโ€™m washing my hair so much hair falls out, I even tried to be gentler this week and I didnโ€™t see much of a difference…

  12. I used to take Manetabolism hair vitamins! They surprisingly worked very well on my hair! I have around the same type as your hair Bianca, 3b-3c? I think it is. Ringlets and kinda fine hair. So I took manetabolism and not only did it help with my shedding and my edges but it made my hair fuller and my hair was growing better. I know it works for some, and not for others but I highly suggest some of you give it a try! I noticed it was starting to work after just 2 weeks of taking the vitamin. ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. A stylist at ULTA told me I need to brush my hair.
    Me: Brush… my… curls?!? ๐Ÿ˜“
She said yes. That brushing my hair stimulates the follicles and reduces hair loss.
    I’m so confused @bianca please help!! ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

    1. ladyjane2118 lol, brushing does stimulate blood circulation but you can also use a shampoo brush that does about the same without killing your curls. ( you only use it on the scalp while cleansing)

  14. DIY hair mayonnaise is great for protein treatments as you can adjust the ingredients according to your hair needs.

Also if you have problems with dry/thinning edges wearing a shower cap is a must, when you wash your face it’s easy to get water/soap on your edges and that dries them out. Castor oil is great as you said.

My hair is protein sensitive too so I don’t use hair mayo or protein treatments more often than once in 6 weeks but I have found the Philip Kingsley Elasticiser as a pre-poo is great, I also add some Aloe Vera to my pre-poo and it works amazingly as a detangler xx

  15. Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor oil Treatment Mask This mask is my ride or die ladies. Iโ€™m transitioning and this mask has completely strengthened my hair and I think itโ€™s even help with my curl pattern itโ€™s amazing i love it go try it out.

  16. I believe shea moisture has deep conditioners with protein, you should check that out and put it in your next video. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

  17. Iโ€™m so glad you made this video!! I was actually going to ask about the shedding! Phew! But I would totally love seeing you review the tea rinse!

  18. Bianca you are hilarious! I’m really learning a lot from you so glad I took a chance on subscribing! You have answered so many of my concerns in such a little time amazing!๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜‰

  19. I am still transitioning, I believe itโ€™s been about two years, my problem is that I have a very dry crown and that is where I have the most breakage.

  20. Ive made the choice to not cut my hair for the next year to see how long it will grow. Ive watched the videos the past 3 years and they’ve helped a lot. I deff. Plan on a devacurl cut when I’m at the end of the year.

  21. Can you please show us what hair care routine you would follow if you were travelling Carry-On only for an extended period of time. I plan on taking a gap year and I’m not sure what I’m gonna do to keep my hair healthy when all I can bring are 100ml bottles in a quart size bag plsss help ๐Ÿ˜…

    1. I agree– Ms Bianca-Renee, please do a vid on keeping your hair regimen while travelling– include packing the necessary hair products/ toils– thanks!

  22. I experienced really bad shedding before the big chop and during my first year after when I was figuring stuff out. Now, here is my regime M-F and diet.

Sunday : Shampoo with Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus – Follow with 15-20 min Deep Conditioning – Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil or Jamaican Black Castor Oil or DevaCurl Deep Sea Repair Seaweed Strengthening Mask (Finger Detangle both with the shampoo and conditioner – the trick with the deep conditioner is to add the product to small sections of hair and finger detangle) – Rinse welll! – I add SheaMoisture Leave In Conditioner after and go

Monday – Wednesday : I have spray bottle full of argon oil or SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir, leave in conditioner (Shea Moisture), and Cantu Coil Calm Detangler mixed with water. I refresh my curls as needed.

Thursday – Cowash (DevaCurl Buildup Buster Micellar Water Cleansing Serum or Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Co-Wash ) followed by SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner

Friday – Saturday : I have spray bottle full of argon oil or SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir, leave in conditioner (Shea Moisture), and Cantu Coil Calm Detangler mixed with water. I refresh my curls as needed.

The usual, satin pillow or satin cap (or both) , 80 oz of water minimum daily, biotin vitamins. Diet wise: Spinach, turkey, lentils, brocolli, eggs, quinoa, I use Spurilia and dark cocoa powder in my protein shakes, and coconut oil and soy milk in my coffee (bullet proof coffee). If you can, find yourself a super food powder to add to your smoothies.

    Hope this helps.

  23. A good Protein mask Mielle organics mask is a good one it has mint in it and it also so it tingles your scalp for better circulation

  24. Yes the Nioxin worked wonders on my hair. I have high porosity/ fine hair and I used the conditioner that has protein and helps thicken fine hair. It works amazing!โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œโค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ

    1. Nioxin supposedly haves ingredients that can cause more hair loss . Like sulfate . I used it for 3 months I think it helped but it was causing a lot of dryness and I had a lot of breakage

  25. I definitely would love to see you do the tea rinse please. Love all the tips you have provided for us curly girls. My hair from a 1 through 10 was a 3 and now it’s a 10 I deep condition my hair twice a week no more then once a week depending on how busy but I always do a deep conditioner.

  26. Hask has a really good deep conditioners, but I am not 100% that they are silicone free. They are also affordable!!

  27. I used Vatika Natural Hair Mayonnaise repair and restore with egg, honey and marrow. Also I have a question how often should you detangle your Hair?

  28. I swear by that green tea rinse! My hair is protein sensitive so, green tea is my ace! I do it once a week when I deep condition and it works almost instantly!

  29. Thanks for all of the info Bianca! I am a low porosity, protein sensitive curly girl so very much looking forward to the upcoming video you mentioned because my curls definitely prefer products that do not have protein in them for the most part. I donโ€™t feel as though I have a huge problem with shedding or hair loss because I deep condition weekly, eat a lot of the foods you mentioned and comb my hair properly. I am however interested in learning more about hair growth tips…

  30. What if your’re protein sensitive? I try to avoid protein all together. Should I do a protein treatment once in a while. My hair is super dry and has been shedding and breaking a lot.

  32. This is great! I’ve heard the Shea Moisture JBCO deep conditioner has protein in it but not sure if that’s true/how much? @mzbiancarenee

  33. To the mamas that just had a baby DO NOT stop taking your prenatals after you have your baby. With my last baby I stopped right after I had her (because Iโ€™m terrible with taking any type of medicine) and I was losing handfuls everytime I refreshed my curls. Soon as I started taking my vitamins again the hair loss slowed down.

    1. Great advice!!!!!!! I didnโ€™t stop taking prenatals until I was 4 months postpartum. I didnโ€™t lose any hair!

    2. Erica King I have been dealing with lots of hair falling out each morning in the shower…..my little one was breast feeding and a month after weaning himself off my hair started to fall out and still continues…Thank you for this.

  34. #snapfam #igfam #notificationsquad #curlfriend #gurlfriend

Your the best Bianca! I use the babassu oil and mint deep conditioner mask by mielle organics. Itโ€™s got protein in it as well. It has great slip and smells AMAZING!!! It works great for keeping my hair strong and healthy. I have used aphogee two step treatments eons ago. I hated using it. My hair would get hard and sticky and feel gross when it was on and take forever for me to rinse out. I just donโ€™t think it was made for my texture hair. Wasnโ€™t my thing but maybe someone else might want to try it out. Not sure if itโ€™s free of harsh chemicals but itโ€™s supposed to be solid protein.

  35. Iโ€™ve lost a lot of hair in the past four or five years, especially around my crown area. I was in law school and very stressed about 100% of the time and I was eating like crap. I used to have fine hair but a lot of it so it looked very thick. Now my hair is fine, thin, and my scalp shows through a lot even when my hair is dry.

I havenโ€™t found much that works to grow the hair Iโ€™ve lost back. But Iโ€™ve been using the shea moisture high porosity hair mask for the last three weeks and I really love it. It has Baobob protein and apple cider vinegar in it. My hair feels strong and more moisturized every time I use it. Iโ€™m also going to talk to my doctor about the hair loss Iโ€™ve experienced to make sure there isnโ€™t a health cause that I missed.

Iโ€™m definitely going to check out that tea rinse. And Curly Penny just uploaded a video about liquid biotin so maybe that could work for some other curly girls who are having this issue!

    Thanks for sharing this information!!

  36. New subbie here. Great job on your videos! I like that the information you share is comprehensive but also concise. Will look into your recommendations for treatments. For those that don’t like to detangle with their fingers, I would like to recommend the Wet Brush. There’s also a similar and cheaper brush at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s by Cala that works just as well. You still start detangling from the ends of your hair and up like you should but it works like a dream on both wet and dry hair. I think it works especially well on wet hair. Haven’t tried the Tangle Teaser and probably won’t since i found my charm.
