  5. They are just showing how the waterlase works instead of a drill. The tooth is then filled in. I had a cavity repaired with biolase waterlase, it’s much better than the conventional drill. I don’t get novacane(The damn Novacane needle will mess up your gum/mouth, after effects rest of day etc.. if you can do it without the damn Novacane it’s easier and better) so I liked the waterlase machine. Plus the damn noise of that high speed conventional dentist drill and vibration sensation suck – with waterlase it uses laser pulses and water, no vibration. Every dentist should have this machine but few do because it costs like 80 thousand dollars and the old fashion drill setup is only like 3 thousand. BEWARE -If you go to a dentist that claims to have one – make sure you see the actual waterlase machine 1st-look it up on the biolase website, its on wheels, has screen, its not small (Even if they claim to have it) before having them examine you or do any work because I found many claim to have a waterlase (But don’t or they have some useless small laser for gum work only) and then give you an excuse – Like the machine is broken or it takes too long to drill or your cavity is too big for it – All lies! The waterlase works just as fast as a drill.

Have you heard people talk about – Nelevi Gapify Elimination – (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my friend got cool success with it.

  21. Just out of curiosity… none of the dentists I’ve been to seems to be boiling (or disinfecting) the drill bits (drill heads) they use with their drilling device. (They just pick them up from the “tool box”, conveniently placed next to the drilling tool.) They do seem to boil the such of forceps etc, but I’ve never seen that being done to either the drill bits nor the drill tool itself. Now with the such of covid etc… is doing so safe (from the patient’s side?)

    1. I’ve seen my dentist have a whole lot of bits but they clean, sanitize and sterilize instruments after each patient. There are machines they have that they use to properly sterilize.

    2. @Gustaf Eibel Extra kits are there and you can even see extra drills of same size in all kits. Also RCT is not common. There are reasons dentist treatment even in developing counties is not cheap

    3. @GameControl and is it not necessary to sanitise those in between patients as well…? also in many developing countries many dentists work on several patients one after the other. Thus in such cases/situations would it not be advisable to atleast dip them in boiling water say for 1-2 minutes? Also the suction duct that is used to drain the liquids from inside the mouth can also transmit germs can it not?

    4. Doctors generally do 1 or 2 treatments per day. drill bits are generally sanitized in solution overnight.

    1. I think it depends on how sensitive your teeth are. I got 2 fillings today and it hurt quite a bit.

    1. It’s just removing the decay like a drill. Except it’s a laser. It doesn’t heal anything. Then the hole gets filled with a filling. This demo shows a few different things. Simple decay removal only involving the biting surface of the tooth, then they move on to a different situation of cauterizing the infected nerve, then a top and side cavity prep, and finally again cauterizing a nerve exposure n

  32. Not to scare anyone but… Here’s my story

    So I have naturally bad teeth and at that time was battling a very bad depressive episode. I didn’t brush my teeth and I had a cavity. I went to the dentist (shout-out Dr. L). And was thinking I would be there for 15 minutes. I found out I had to have this! IT IS SO BAD! It also tastes like burnt meat. I sat there for 30 minutes crying because I was scared. I finally sat down and they started but then, I had to end up getting it extracted. I sat there for at least an hour freaking out. I said I would let them do it and then they took an X-ray and found out I needed the one next to it taken out too. I sat down and they put numbing gel and then gave me Novacaine. They pulled them out and I ate noodles.
