    1. Peacock Feathers well yeah I know that. but I wanted to know what’s her Twitter or Instagram

  1. these videos make me realize how much things have changed. Like, its so weird actually seeing how different things like braces and tooth paste were back in the 80s when my parents were growing up. its crazy how advanced and modern we’ve become

  2. Did we just skip over the sonicare craze? Like most people I know own sonicares and that feels like an important milestone missed

  3. don’t know about the oil pulling, but i got a tube of the charcoal toothpast and it actually made my teeth whiter. was really nice

    1. Don’t use charcoal or baking soda. It’s abrasive. You’ll literally just be removing the top layer of your teeth, making them more prone to cavities (and at some point they’ll actually start looking more yellow since the inner part of teeth is darker).

  4. I have naturally discolored teeth (no matter how often I brush) and I hate myself even more after watching this.

    1. I have a white spot, theres no fluoride in our water tho… i was told when i was little it was from chewing on ice, who knows tho. It also happens to be on my one crooked tooth.

    2. @Casidesia If it’s spots, yes. (That’s how they figured out fluoride worked, BTW–they saw that people with the spots didn’t get anywhere near the normal amount of cavities.) But yellow-ish coloration throughout can just be genetics.

Not that teeth are supposed to be white-white anyway–they’re supposed to be a light ivory shade at the lightest.

  5. Was kind of expecting a video on dental tools and how they evolved to what they are today… Got an ad for toothpaste.

    1. A lot of things about these videos bother me but thats only because I’m a fashion historian

    2. As someone who works in the dental field, I can tell you dental instruments have not really changed all that much. Sometimes I look at the instruments we have and I think to myself “that just looks medieval!”, usually the forceps for extractions make me think this, lol.

    3. Listerine honestly is still a must in dental health ✔️ The original one though, not all the sugary mint flavored ones.

    4. Many cultures used (and still do in certain parts of the world) chewing sticks, which is exactly what it sounds like. A thick plant you use to get the gunk off your teeth. A precursor to the toothbrush.
Many cultures also used a mixture of herbs and charcoal.

  6. 2:36 Jan from Grease made fun of this commercial! 😃 and they even show it @ 3:26! I love history!

  7. Ok ok even before the video starts i can’t wait to see what kind of dental work they had in the early 19th century lol. The early 19th century usually seems disastrous.

  8. Fluoride is poison stop using it in your tooth paste and get a filter for tap water!

  9. I’m so happy to live nowadays with modern dentistry! (And I’ll be done Invisalign in a couple months…I can’t wait. I’m 44 and wish I would have done it more than a decade ago)

    1. sweatpantsprincess honestly I would have been fine with regular braces at my age, as long as I get my teeth fixed!

    2. Invisalign came out after I had already gotten braces, and when my youngest sister had it instead…. I was so jealous!

    1. @Sara my dentist recommended using my waterpik along the gumline to prevent plaque buildup on the edges. You can’t see a difference but the amount of plaque near your gums is reduced.

    2. I got like 3 people in my family that use waterpicks, they should’ve been in the video…

    3. I have braces and i clean better by thread floss and interdental brush than with waterpik since i actually scrap off plaque with floss and brush with toothpaste between teeth with interdental.. Waterpik is only good for rinsing food particles but that i can also do with floss..

    1. @Peacock Feathers Listen to a podcast then omg. Videos are visual as well as aural. That’s on you.

    2. Yeah why can’t youtube videos get someone to speak instead of making me read! I do other stuff when i have youtube on.

  10. I love these videos but seriously it drives me crazy to watch them because y’all go so freaking fast!!!!! I have to keep pausing and rewinding back just to read each little sentence! Drives me CRAZY! Sometimes I’ll pass on some of them because it’s such a thing to read everything.

    1. @Lina L I read fast and it’s too fast for me. As a rule of presentation, it should be slower.

    2. happyfacefries
Oh, no, I think these people are being a bit dramatic. Does it matter to them whether she can read as quickly as others? No. There is certainly nothing wrong with it,

    1. no u y did u post this comment twice in slightly different words. Like, we get it 😂😂😂

    1. @Peacock Feathers ahhahahha k fine no problem..in reality I actually replace it like every 3 or 4 month!! but in 3 years its impossible…its gross as you said..personal hygiene is the first important thing for a person

    2. @Hazel how could i have known it was a joke? By other comments I’ve seen lots of people are gross. My own sister only replaces hers like once a year. The bristles get all crazy lol.
My mom will visit and throw it out replacing it with a new one.

    3. @Peacock Feathers omg though…..you really thought this was true? it was just a joke..wth

    4. Horrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep 4 in my drawer to replace every 2 months and if im sick.

  11. I will add a emoji for every like ☺️ 😎 😂 comment and emoji too🤣 🤠👽 💩 🥕 🥑🍉😫😤🤯😈🎈⚾🎹🎷
